I was playing earlier with my buddy Anubie. We got a few much needed trophies between the two of us, but our play-time clock was winding down. There wasn't enough time to trophy hunt, so we were just running around doing random stuff. Killing each other, killing our own horses, killing ourselves and horses with dynamite...you know, regular stuff. Well, we eventually came across 2 people going through the Pike's Basin hideout. He suggested we mess with 'em. Since one of 'em sounded like a little kid, I suggested that we help 'em.
So we did.
He shot at them while I helped 'em clear the hideout from the top of the ridge. We're both in the same posse, so I'm sure they were confused as hell. I didn't have a mic on, so I couldn't make out what they were saying. Chatter coming through the TV isn't easy to understand unless the volume is blaring. I doubt I would've understood anyway...it didn't sound like english.
Anyway, they were down to the last few bandits. They had already blown the last crate, so I was taking out the enemies that spawn on the hill. It was about this time that they ignored the bandits and started firing at me.! Which leads me to the point of this - It's a shame that players on Red Dead automatically think that if I'm standing on a hill, gun in hand, that I plan to snipe them. I mean, I understand where they get that idea from...all things considered, but it's still a shame.
I'd stick to Friendly Free Roam, but then I couldn't blow Anubie up.
